This is ZAED pro.
3 adjustable friction levels. Soft catches as used to from ZAED 1, it feels similar to catches from a same weight belayer and the belayer can adjust the fall depth of the climber in the way they're used to.

Improvements over ZAED 1 and ZAED mini:

• Additional safety for whippers at the first bolt with a camming mechanism that supports the belayer to help prevent grounders
• The camming mechanism will not engage from the secone bolt and higher. ZAED pro will provide the soft catch that climbers love from ZAED 1 from the second bolt on. The cam only engages at whippers to the very first bolt.
• Weight of only 171g due to FEM optimized design and hightech materials like titanium
• improved geometry for super smooth rope pay out, even smoother than with ZAED 1
• Friction geometry optimized for modern, thinner 9.x ropes as well as classical 10.0 ropes.
• Increased durability: all rope friction points made from stainless steel, so this device will live with you for a very, very long time
• CE certification

Super hilfreich dass Raed endlich ein Funktionsmosdell gepostet hat, und Danke fürs Teilen !

Ich habe es nur zum richtigen Gerät kopiert.

Evtl. muss ich das dann doch auch noch kaufen um es zu testen, muss ich mir noch überlegen.

Was mich dann nur stutzig macht, ist das niedrige Gewicht, weil das dann darauf hindeutet, dass die Klemmnocken auch aus Aluminium sind, und das ist an einer Stelle die am Seil reibt, insbesondere für ein "draußen" Gerät ( laut Werbung Raed ) nicht wirklich nachhaltig konstruiert.
Das gehört aus Stahl.

Aber wenn ich mir dann das Video anschaue und höre:

"the cam in the pro only activates during falls into the first bolt. Above that fall support work just like in Z1"

oder auf Deutsch:

"Der Klemmmechanismus im Pro aktiviert sich nur bei Stürzen in die erste Exe. Darüber funktionieren die Sturzunterstützung wie bei der Z1."

Dann macht das Pro auch wieder keinen echten Sinn.

Klar, da wird dann gerne argumentiert, dass draußen die ersten Haken so schrecklich hoch wären, aber es hält mich ja auch niemand davon ab, selbst noch etwas zu legen. Wenn der erste Haken auf 6 Metern kommt und der zweite erst auf 10 Metern, nützt mir das Feature "bremst ab dem 1. Haken" in echt auch nicht viel.

Aber was mir eigentlich immer hilft, sind Friends, Klemmkeile, Tricams usw.

Das hilft mir übrigens auch, Unfälle ( ja passieren regelmässig ) auf dem Weg zum 1. Haken zu vermeiden!
Manche Haken sind wirklich sportlich weit oben – warum? Weil man davor in der Regel selbst absichern kann. Aber dieses Wissen gerät zunehmend in Vergessenheit.
